As you are likely aware, the Covid-19 pandemic is still with us, and it will be for a while yet. As a Committee we have reviewed and will continue to review the situation as it develops. There is a fine line between providing a safe environment for members & staff and getting back to business as usual. There have been a number of events recently which have caused concern.
Sometimes the reality is we have to take a step backwards for us to move forwards, and we have to make decisions that won’t always be popular, but it is in the best interests for all.
From Thursday 2nd December, we will re-introduce the “No Standing at the Bar” rule. This is to protect our staff and our members alike. The seats at the bar end of the bar will also be removed.
This is a temporary measure, and will remain in place until at least the next Government announcement.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope you can appreciate this is not a decision we have taken lightly.
